I’m not sure I’ve ever said this, but I don’t like coffee, like at all. I think it tastes like bitter smoke, or as WhatCulture once called it, “rancid brown sweat”. Very descriptive, that, though I don’t really think it tastes like sweat at all. The point is, I don’t like coffee.
That hasn’t mattered this week, though. I’m working on yet another secret project, let’s call it Project Mohair because the yarn I’m using for it is mostly mohair. I’m working on Project Mohair and having a lot of trouble concentrating on the knitting. There’s a lot of stitches, the yarn’s fussy, there are some slow parts, it’s just not an easy task. It wasn’t easy, that is, until I started drinking coffee. Having found myself constantly falling asleep while knitting I decided to force some coffee down me. Let me tell you, I’ve never been this focused in my life. I can knit for hours at a time now no problem. It’s crazy.
That’s all I’m going to say, though, as I have to get back to knitting. Have you ever had an experience where something you despised turned out to be helpful in some manner? If so, let me know in the comments below.
