Spring is finally here and with it we have flowering trees and shrubbery! This is by far my favorite time of the year, which makes me sad because it’s so short. To clarify, I don’t mean that Spring is my favorite time of year, I mean that flowering tree and shrubbery time is my favorite time of the year. I don’t know why, but I just don’t like regular flowers nearly as much trees and most especially shrubs. There’s something about their ephemeral nature or their height and abundance that just elevates them above everything else.
Of course with Spring comes allergies and mind are really bugging me this year. It was a fairly mild winter, and I think that’s a large part of it. I guess it’s a small price to pay for flowering shrubbery, but I’ll still be cursing the rest of the year until Winter roles back around once more.
In terms of knitting, I’ve been fairly productive. I made a couple brioche shawls, one a 1-color shawl, one a 2-color shawl. I also made a brioche cowl and am working on a second as we speak. Finally I started work on a double-knit cable scarf, which is a lot of fun and going pretty well. I’ll post a few pictures of things below.
Happy Spring everyone! Hope you enjoy it!
